There is an off-street gravel area to the left of the building where you can park. It is wide enough to park head-in. You can also park parallel to the paved road for better access.
There is a small concrete ramp (60" wide) leading from the street to the visitor center entrance. The concrete has small cracks but is mostly level.

Notes:

The main exterior entrance to the visitor center is a red door next to the Nez Perce Wallowa Homeland logo mural. The main entrance is 45" wide. The door is not heavy but has a typical round metal doorknob. You can call the office phone for assistance if needed. There is a second entrance to the building that leads to the staff office. This entrance has a step up (about 6" tall) into the entryway. The entryway is about 45" deep. In the entryway, the visitor center is on your left but requires about a step down (about 8"). On your right is the office, also with a step down (about 7"). The office is where the bathrooms are located. Please note that visitors are only allowed into the office with permission.

Notes:

The interior might echo with multiple conversations, or if the documentary is playing. It is a rectangular room with exhibits mostly on the walls. The floor is concrete, except for two round rugs that can be navigated around. Multiple types of seating are available. (Please see pictures.) The room can be cold in the winter months.

Notes:

The restroom is in the office, open to the public upon request. Getting to the office requires a step up (about 6" or 8", depending which way you go) into the entry way, then another step down (about 7") into the office. The office flooring is flat carpet. There is a clear path to the bathroom. The bathroom door handles are levers, and the doorway is 35" wide. The toilet seat is 17" high. The sink is 31.5" high, with knob faucet controls. The soap/paper towels are on the back of the sink basin, but should be reachable from someone at sitting height.

Getting to the restroom requires traveling through the entryway. Coming from the visitor center (as shown in this photo) or the exterior both require a step up into the entryway, then a step down into the office.

Volunteer docents are sometimes available. They would be able to share and explain interpretive content for those with visual disabilities. The documentary has subtitles available, just ask the staff or docent!
The NPWH is working on accessibility improvements for their grounds, as well as developing a self-guided audio tour that would provide a different way to learn about the interpretive content.
